South Africa’s Caster Semenya won the women’s 800m earning gold on the closing night of the World Championships in London.

Semenya also won silver medals at the 2011 World Championships and the 2012 Summer Olympics, both in the 800 metres. She was the winner of the gold medal in the 800 metre event at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Kenyan Olympic silver medalist, Hellen Obiri won Gold in the final of the women’s 5000m crossing the finish line in 14:34 marking her first world outdoor title and her fifth global championship medal.
